This past weekend all of us a Bockrath Flooring and Rugs had a great time sponsoring our favorite nonprofit, We Care Arts. Saturday morning Doug, his wife Erin, and daughter Kate ran in the first annual Run Stroll and Roll 5K. Many We Care Arts clients, along with their family and friends participated by walking the path, other participants ran the 5K. A total of 100 attended the event to show their support. After crossing the finish line each participant received a handmade metal made by We Care Arts clients.
The evening festival, Arts and Drafts, began at 4pm at We Care Arts. Six different bands from the Dayton and Cincinnati played while the crowd enjoyed food trucks, craft beer and root beer. Inside tattoo artists were tattooing live, and many of them made donations back to We Care Arts. During the festival We Care Arts also held an art auction. Included in the auction was artwork donated by Ryan Hadley, a tattoo artist from TV show Ink Masters.
