This year Cincinnati’s Homearama® was held at the Oaks of West Chester. The show ran from June 10th-26th with 7 homes open to tour. If you haven’t been to a Homearama®, let us explain. Home builders from the area build in a cul-de-sac side by side with other builders. Interior Designers furnish the interiors and landscapers execute the exterior. The show opens to the public every summer for 2 weeks. Many locals have made a tradition of attending every year.
We visited the show to see what Cincinnati builders and designers selected for their floorcoverings. Don’t worry if you missed it, we took photos! Here are the flooring trends we spotted this year at Homearama® Oaks of West Chester.
Hardwood Floors were spotted all over Homearama®. Wide planks and natural details were the leading trends in all the hardwood flooring throughout the show
Area Rugs were of course a staple for the interior design since all the homes had hardwood flooring throughout the main levels. Most area rugs we spotted had geometric prints or were transitional oriental styles. Navy and gray were the hot colors in most of the homes with pops of different accenting colors and prints.
Mosaic Tile made itself a focal point in many different ways this year. Another trend we spotted was tile created to look like wood used as flooring in bathrooms as well as the wall of showers. This trend is a favorite of ours, it allows for the visual warmth of wood in a bathroom or shower.
If you’re looking for any of these trends stop in the Bockrath showroom to see the largest selection of hardwood flooring, carpet, and rugs in the Miami Valley.
